The Sony CD Walkman D-EJ01, launched in 1999 as the 20th Anniversary Edition of the Walkman, exemplified the pinnacle of Sony's technological advancements at that time and continues to impress with its design.

Key features include its distinctive eye-like remote control, a durable magnesium alloy casing, and its unique slot-loading mechanism, making it the only portable CD player globally with such a feature. Additional functionalities encompass CD text, G-Protection for uninterrupted playback, and MD Link, enabling the D-EJ01 to serve as a source for MiniDisc recording via an optical cable. Equipped with both an internal battery and an external battery case, the D-EJ01 offers up to 62 hours of music playback.
